Ahmed Elawady confirmed that consuming vegetables is not limited to people who want to lose weight or maintain it, but he found that those who include vegetables and fruits in their daily meals have a lower risk of chronic diseases.
He explained that some people peel off the skin of certain vegetables they eat for reasons related to cleanliness, taste, or routine, but there are vegetables and fruits that can be eaten with their skins as they contain many benefits.
He pointed out: "The skin of potatoes is rich in fiber, which contributes to promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria. It also contains a percentage of potassium that helps regulate blood pressure, and the skin of potatoes contains vitamin C despite losing some of it during the cooking process."
