Melbourne-based artist Beci Orpin has found inspiration in an unlikely place - a dollar shop. Orpin stumbled upon hand-crafted sale signs in the store and was immediately drawn to their graphic design and bold colours. She describes them as "accidental pop art" and loves that they were not created by a professional artist. Orpin has incorporated the signs into her own artwork and even displayed them in a gallery exhibition. She believes that art can be found anywhere, even in the most unexpected places, and encourages others to keep an open mind when it comes to finding inspiration.
